sidetracked.....!

Completed #4 strip set---but was sidetracked by a horrendous head cold and a daughter who wanted to make 2 baby quilts in a weekend!! She travels to Ft. Lauderdale this weekend with her MIL for her new SIL's baby shower. we improvised a pattern from my stash and a quilt my friend barbara (from MI!) made up as a guild charity quilt. Easy peasy...worked together Friday evening and Sunday to get them done.

The couple is expecting a boy--and he'll have a 3 yr old big sis that she made the kitty quilt for. Very proud of her for thinking of Ava too.  Here's her sweet little quilts!!

quilty goings on.........

Did just a bit on a rose block....having FUN with the coin strip swap!! Found a bag of orphaned nine patches and laid them out on my 'design wall'. They look pretty good to me. Maybe it'll be my next UFO project. Have a restful Sunday...............

leaving lots o' comments

Because of my new blog, i have the chance to comment on other blogs. Did so the other day just to compliment Nancy in Phildelphia and she wrote back!! Yesterday and today i've left comments in the hopes of winning Magnolia Bay Quilter's (kim brackett) newest book. The patterns are wonderful!

back to SHORT hair!!

truly decided i'm not meant for 'long' hair anymore..! i tried for my DD & it looked great for her wedding. But a month later now and it was starting to look like a 'mullet'...couldn't style it, couldn't feel comfortable in it.............
nice and short again (picture to follow this weekend) and i feel like ME again....Phew!! Hope all who read this are feelin' just fine too! :-)

lazy superbowl sunday

so nice to be 'lazy' today and stay in sweatpants to sew! worked on some guild projects and getting ready for a group project that should be so fun to swap in May. here's a mug rug and a sneak peek at my OCQG Rose Challenge project.....enjoy the day!  Go Green Bay! :-)
