'Do-over' done -- still don't like it....!

Century of Progress redone and it
came out the correct size.....but maybe i didn't pick the right fabrics....I just don't care for this block.

MUCH happier with these 2!! (checkerboard and churn dash) The block I dislike will hopefully disappear in the grand scheme of this quilt....
Not so bad from this angle ;-) ! So,  included it will be. The templates are the way for me to go it seems. Sorta find them relaxing to work with. Here's the completed blocks so far....
Have a happy sewing week, all!

I think that sometimes one block may seem icky but when you put it in with the rest of the blocks, it adds to the overall effect and the colors just blend in and play nicely together. I think that's what's happened with your icky block - it looks great with the rest!

Enjoy the week - nicer weather I hope.

It looks fine mixed in with the other blocks - I love the churn dash, I think that's my favorite block and I've never made one, lol!

I know how you feel! I hate my century of progress block too. You're other ones are looking fab though!

Your blocks look great! And I agree: it will disappear surrounded by 110 other blocks. You are on a roll and I need to play catch up....

i agree...mixed in with the rest, it will look just fine. i changed the 'gold' fabric on on the sides of the block to match as though it is a background. i really like the block that way, but if you see mine, my center does not match up just right...so it's always something huh? i have a fw slide show on my blog with all the blocks i've completed to date in order...you can see what i'm talking about with this block...hard to explain. your blocks look wonderful!!!
